I've got questions.

I've got questions and I'm guessing you do too.

Why do we suddenly decide when we become adults that having questions is a sign of weakness?

We asked our parents so many questions when we were kids. We often asked so many questions that they requested some silence, please.

We asked our teachers when we didn’t understand an assignment or why we got the grade we did. Or we wanted to know what was wrong with our answers.

But….. as soon as we deem ourselves “old enough” we stop.

We stop asking questions.

We want everyone to think we have it all figured out.

We want others to think we are smart.

Suddenly an age number decides we no longer need to ask anything else.

We can figure it all out by ourselves. I don’t need your help. Thanks, but no thanks.

You may be thinking of that one person you know, who thinks they know it all. Or maybe your thinking of the teenager in your home.

But the reality is, all of us do this to some degree.

We easily fall into the trap of wanting to look smarter than we are, so we don’t ask.

Or we believe we are the authority on a specific topic, so we quit learning.

The day we stop asking questions, is the day we stop learning.

When learning stops, so does your zest for life and the fulfillment that comes from improving our lives through newness and growth. Life becomes stale and repetitive.

Find people who care enough to listen when you ask.

People who want to help you learn and improve your life.

Start asking more questions.

Admit you don’t have all the answers.

Keep learning.

Keep growing.

Embrace challenges and the unknown, as a journey of discovery.

Have a child like curiosity and watch as your life gets more adventurous and you feel alive again with the joys of new discoveries and experiences.

As you endeavor to understand and develop new skills you will find your Brave.

Your confidence will improve and your view of the world will become more beautiful.

Don’t hesitate.

Ask your questions.
