Nature of the Coaching:

I understand that Life Coaching is a professional relationship designed to provide guidance, support, education, and personal development. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, medical care, mental health treatment, or legal advice.

I understand that the coach is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical professional. I agree that coaching is not a substitute for professional care, diagnosis, or treatment.*

Confidentiality:

I understand that confidentiality is an important part of the coaching relationship. The coach will keep my information private except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to prevent serious harm.

If I participate in group coaching, I agree to keep information shared by other participants confidential. I understand that the coach cannot guarantee the confidentiality of other participants.

I understand that electronic communication may carry inherent privacy risks.*

Assumption of Risk:

I understand that coaching may involve personal reflection, emotional discomfort, or challenging conversations. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including emotional or psychological discomfort. I understand that I may pause or stop coaching at any time.*

No Guarantees:

I understand that coaching outcomes vary by individual. No specific results or outcomes are promised or guaranteed.*

Waiver of Liability:

I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Sarah Loyd, Greater Life Coaching, and its employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, or causes of action, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to my participation in coaching.

This includes claims based on negligence and applies to services provided in person, online, or through written or electronic communication.*

Medical Conditions:

I represent that I am mentally and physically able to participate in life coaching. I understand that coaching is not therapy or medical treatment.

If I have a medical, psychological, or emotional condition that could affect my ability to participate safely in coaching, I agree to consult with a qualified healthcare professional as needed and to inform the coach before beginning coaching.*

Indemnification:

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sarah Loyd, Greater Life Coaching, and its employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to my participation in coaching or my breach of this agreement.*

Governing Law:

This waiver and release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.*

Acknowledgment:

I acknowledge that I have carefully read this waiver and release in its entirety and fully understand its terms. I understand that this document is a release of liability and a binding legal agreement between myself and Sarah Loyd, Greater Life Coaching. I sign this agreement voluntarily and of my own free will.*
